Ukraine War and international law

The year 2022 was a year of war in Ukraine. Our hope is for an early end to the war.

On November 25, 2022, the World Peace Council convened a General Assembly in Hanoi.

Russia's military invasion of Ukraine was an illegal act that did not meet the requirements of Article 51 of the UN Charter. On the other hand, NATO's military alliance has been expanded to Eastern European countries since the collapse of the Cold War.

In Asia as well, the U.S.-Japan-South Korea military alliance and military exercises based on it have played a role in provoking China and North Korea. Military alliances are illegal and not envisaged in the UN Charter. In the current international situation, the challenge is how to restrain military alliances that violate the UN Charter.
